Affordable, Trusted, Local Infant Care
Connecting families, caregivers, employers, and communities through shared childcare solutions.
JoeyCare is a for-profit in-home child share-care consultancy firm and community-based digital platform, headquartered in Boston and registered in Massachusetts. We operate within the early childhood care industry, specializing in strengthening domestic care networks for children ages 0–2.
Our platform supports both **families and caregivers—professional and informal—**across neighborhoods, municipalities, and states in building childcare solutions that are safe, reliable, affordable, accessible, and professional.
JoeyCare was born out of both personal experience and a deep understanding of the systemic challenges in childcare. Founded during the height of the childcare crisis in 2020, JoeyCare responds to the urgent need for scalable and sustainable solutions. The closures of childcare centers, rising costs, and workforce shortages revealed the need for new approaches that could support working parents, elevate caregivers, and strengthen communities.
JoeyCare addresses these challenges by creating an ecosystem that connects parents, empowers caregivers, and engages employers and policymakers in building a more sustainable childcare infrastructure.
At JoeyCare, childcare is not only a family necessity—it is an economic priority that drives workforce stability, gender equity, and community resilience.
Natalia Jimenez Cifuentes is the founder of JoeyCare. She has built her career at the intersection of childcare, research, and social impact, bringing a multidisciplinary background in politics, business, design, and anthropology to reimagine how families and caregivers connect.
With more than 15 years of experience as a newborn care specialist and nanny-share consultant, Natalia has not only supported families with infants and toddlers, but also advocated for domestic workers and coached caregivers—including nannies, night caregivers, and newborn specialists—working in private homes. Through this work, she has seen firsthand the persistent gaps in the childcare system: families struggle to access affordable, high-quality, and culturally responsive care, while caregivers remain undervalued, underpaid, and overlooked in their professional growth.
Natalia approaches childcare not simply as a service, but as a critical pillar of economic development, social equity, and workforce stability. Her research-driven perspective explores the intersections of design, environment, technology, and social impact—bringing innovative solutions to an industry in urgent need of reform.
Through JoeyCare, Natalia is building a model that supports parents, empowers caregivers, and strengthens communities—ensuring every child has access to quality care and every caregiver receives the recognition they deserve.
Access to affordable, high-quality childcare has become one of the most pressing challenges for families, businesses, and the economy. The lack of reliable infant care options limits workforce participation, strains household finances, and places an additional burden on caregivers—many of whom work in informal settings

At JoeyCare, we believe that every child deserves access to safe, high-quality, and affordable early childhood care, no matter where they live. Our mission is to bridge the gap in childcare accessibility by creating a scalable, home-based care infrastructure that works alongside formal childcare centers to support working families—especially in areas where quality care is hard to find.
JoeyCare isn’t just about childcare—it’s about empowering caregivers, supporting working parents, and strengthening local communities. By expanding economic opportunities for stay-at-home parents and professional caregivers, we are creating a more flexible, sustainable, and community-centered childcare model.
To achieve this, we aim to work closely with policymakers, businesses, and community leaders to integrate home-based childcare into the broader early education system. Our goal is to ensure that families and caregivers alike benefit from funding, regulatory support, and quality improvement initiatives that make home-based care a viable, respected, and well-supported option.
By aligning with state initiatives to improve early childhood care infrastructure, JoeyCare is laying the foundation for a future where every family has access to high-quality, community-driven infant and toddler care solutions that work for them.
JoeyCare aims to transform the childcare industry by harnessing the potential of private residences and strategically deploying childcare professionals to meet the fluctuating demand for infant and toddler care.
